ProStructures allows you to create a Partlist database. However, It does not create the group records for the referenced items.

We have multiple DGN files with positioned elements. However, we require a partlist to be created for a select collection of groups from multiple models.

Steps to follow:

1. Place a steel element and put a connection. For my example, base plate connection. This will create group data for these elements.

2. Position these elements. Create a partlist database with group record checked. We can see a group record with asterisk.

3. Create a new DGN file and reference the one the previous DGN.

4. Create a partlist database on these references with group records.
